AC_Vista.bmp El Paso Character Skills AmeriCorps VISTA Program


United Way of El Paso County has AmeriCorps VISTA positions available soon!

AmeriCorps VISTA members will help in strengthening after school programs by recruiting volunteers; overseeing the implementation of a character skills learning program; and developing service learning projects. VISTA members also participate in community outreach activities and in seeking resources to support after school programs.

 

 

 

Benefits of serving as an AmeriCorp VISTA member:

- Annual living allowance of $10,692 (paid bi-monthly)
- Health care benefits
- Child-care subsidy (if income eligible)
- Student loan forbearance
- Interest accrual payment on student loans
- Education award of $5,350 upon completion of the program
- Personal development opportunities, and
- Valuable hands-on experience in community development.
