Helping Children Succeed
The United Way of El Paso County is committed to ensuring that every child has the best start in achieving success in school. We recognize that education is the cornerstone of individual and community success. Children who participate in high quality early education and out of school time programs are more likely to graduate from high school, attend college or participate in quality job training programs. The ultimate goal is to become valuable members of the workforce and society.
Our Community

The Opportunity
The entire community benefits when children are prepared to be successful in school because a more competitive workforce means a greater tax base and reduced public expense in special education costs, public assistance and cost related to public safety and crime reduction.
If every 16-19 year old who is not in school and does not have a diploma simply graduated, they would earn an additional $3 billion in income for the state in just four years.-Texas Education Agency
