Get Involved Today - Serve on A Basic Needs Allocation Panel
The United Way of El Paso County invites you to get involved by serving on a Basic Needs Allocation Panel to determine funding for community programs. Volunteers will serve on one of ten Community Impact funding review panels in March and April 2012.
Allocation volunteers will be responsible for the following:
- Attending one 90 minute orientation to better understand the Community Impact Fund and the funding process
- Reviewing the agency funding request applications
- Attending either one morning or one afternoon session of agency presentations
- Utilizing the United Way Program Evaluation Form to assess each program on:
- program's alignment with United Way's defined goals and strategies
- review of programs' outcomes
- efficiency of agency management
- As a panel, reaching a consensus on the recommended level of funding for each reviewed program
The Community Impact Fund is contributions from individual, corporate and foundation donors that help build a stronger community by funding proven programs and services in our three impact areas: Education, Income and Basic Needs.
