United Way of El Paso County invites young professionals to the second part of its "Leadership Chats" speaker series which launched in December.
This month's speaker will be Dr. Arvind Singhal. Singhal is a professor of communication and Director of the Social Justice Initiative at The University of Texas at El Paso. He teaches and conducts research on the diffusion of innovations, the positive deviance approach, organizing for social change, the entertainment-education strategy, and liberating interactional structures.
Singhal's talk is entitled "Liberating Structures: How to Transform the Performance of a Group Instantaneously." Attendees will learn how small shifts in how group interactions are designed can liberate engagement and participation of group members leading to higher quality performance outcomes. This event is perfect for those who continously work as part of a team.
Plus, those who attend will get an exclusive tour of the new The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain campus. The event is sponsored by the Social Justice Initiative Department of Communications at UTEP.
