In an effort ensure that El Paso families retain more of their hard earned money, The United Way of El Paso County has teamed up with the Walmart Foundation to make available MyFreeTaxes.com/ep, an online service that guides users through the tax filing process step-by-step with the help of IRS certified volunteers.

www.MyFreeTaxes.com/ep is free for those filing single or jointly who earn less than $57,000 annually. Users can file their taxes online from any computer with an internet connection.

Anyone using the website to file their taxes will need to have the following documents available:

• Social Security or Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITIN) for each family member and working adult
• W2s, 1099s and other income forms
• Childcare provider name, address and tax ID
• Bank routing and account numbers for checking and savings accounts
• Name, address, and phone number of landlord for renter's credit
• Last Year's tax return (if available)
