United Way’s Young Leaders Society to host Wine & Wisdom Pt. 2

El Paso, TX (Fri., Sept. 8, 2017) -- In July, United Way’s Young Leaders Society has launched a series of speaker and networking events with prominent El Paso leaders as the featured guests. The series continues this month with a prominent leader in the community.

Rick Francis, Chairman and CEO at WestStar Bank, will be sharing his secrets to becoming a successful and engaged community member in “The Power of Giving: A Philanthropic Perspective.” He’ll discuss the importance of philanthropy and civic engagement in El Paso and also delve into the significance of serving on boards.

In 2007, the Association of Fundraising Professionals named Mr. Francis and his wife Ginger El Paso’s “Philanthropists of the Year.” He was also named “El Pasoan of the Year” in 2009.

The event is free and open to young professionals in the El Paso community who want to enjoy an enriching discussion, friendly networking, and wine and appetizers.

The purpose of the series is to give young professionals the opportunity to connect to leaders in the community and to receive guidance from seasoned individuals.
