HEALTH ACCESS COORDINATOR VISTA
The VISTA will help ensure that families living in subsidized households receive the healthcare access they need to live a healthy future, helping break the cycle of poverty long-term. The Serve El Paso VISTA project will build the capacity of the El Paso County Housing Authority (EPCHA) by developing a coordinated partnership system with local agencies and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) to increase access to affordable health care options for low-income housing participants in the rural communities of the county. COMMUNITY HEALTH ACCESS VISTA
United Way of El Paso County (UWEPC) is the lead for Enroll El Paso--a community-wide coalition made up of local non-profits, businesses, faith-based organizations, hospitals, federally qualified health centers, and other health care organizations working to educate and assist thousands of El Pasoans through the Affordable Care Act. COMMUNITY EDUCATION & CAREER COORDINATOR VISTA
The VISTA will collaborate with UWEPC's education initiative to assist in building the capacity of UWEPC's education and economic development programs. The VISTA will also work specifically to address the opportunity youth population of 16-24 year olds living in the county who do not attend school or work. The VISTA will build capacity to coordinate resources such as job readiness and job training or new career skills, targeting this population. Apply here.
