1. Tell us about yourself.
I was born here in El Paso and spent my childhood in our sister city, Ciudad Juárez. I have a passion for business and for helping people -- that is what drives me in my career. I always ask myself, “how can I make a business while helping others?” That question is what led me to a career in business. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from UTEP. Soon I’ll be enrolling in business school to pursue an M.B.A. to fulfill my business goals.
2. Give us a description of what you do for United Way.

3. Why is this work so important to our community?
This work is important because it provides financial assurance to the agencies we support that provide support to families in our community. This role also ensures we are being good stewards of donor dollars.
4. What is the most surprising thing you have learned about the community and yourself in your time at United Way?
I learned there is so much work to be done, but El Paso is strong, and lots of work is being done to strengthen families and help them meet their most basic needs.
