1. Tell us about yourself.
Born and raised in El Paso but left for many years to pursue my career in the Big Apple. However, my love for the city and my family brought me back home in 2015.
I am an accomplished, results-driven marketing professional that has serviced a variety of accounts for global and multinational clients – just to name a few Procter & Gamble, Goya Foods and US Army.
I have a strong passion to bring positive and measurable change to the community and individuals in need through charitable giving.
2. Give us a description of what you do for United Way.
I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Migrant Services. I am responsible for recruiting, coordinating and organizing increased volunteer efforts for the El Paso agencies providing hospitality to migrant families seeking asylum.
3. Why is this work so important to our community?
By the supporting the volunteer work of migrant hospitality centers, we are showcasing our caring community. It helps the community engage in volunteerism, which is better for the community and helps better individuals.
4. What is the most surprising thing you have learned about the community and yourself in your time at United Way?
The passion and drive our community has in making a difference and giving back; driving me to be more actionable.
