The Parents as Teacher program, which is focused on teaching families about their children's development, will be hosting a two-part speaker series called "Time for Love." The series will focus on self-love as well as gaining an appreciation for our community's diversity.
During the first event, "Time for Love: Love Yourself," motivational speaker Norma Molina will help parents and individuals discover tools and strategies to reach goals and achieve one's fullest potential. Information tables will be provided by The Hospitals of Providence.
One week later, Dr. Timothy E. Nelson, who is the YWCA El Paso del Norte Region Justice Director, will present "Time for Love: Share the Love." The presentation will focus on building community spirit and engagement as well as gaining an appreciation for the significant diversity in El Paso. Storytime and children's activities will be offered during the presentation. Folklorico and a display by the Tigua tribe will follow the presentation.
Both will be bilingual presentations that are open to the general public. Childcare will be provided at both.
