United Way of El Paso County announces results of 2018-2019 campaign season

During United Way of El Paso County’s 2019 Annual Appreciation Luncheon that took place on Tues., April 9, 2019 at the Convention Center, the local nonprofit announced the results of its workplace giving campaigns and presented several awards to the companies and organizations supporting the mission of the local nonprofit.

Fundraising dollars made possible through workplace giving campaigns go directly to the United Way Community Impact Fund, which is money allocated to United Way-led or funded programs focused on the organization’s four impact areas – education, basic needs, health and financial stability. Thanks to community support, United Way currently funds and leads more than 50 programs and initiatives from a strong network of 25 local agencies that provide much-needed services to children and families.

Money raised helps ensure children and youth are ready for school success, residents are leading healthy lives, families are financially secure, and vulnerable individuals meet their basic needs. More than 100 companies hosted United Way campaigns and asked employees to donate through payroll deduction.
