El Paso, TX (April 4, 2016) - United Way of El Paso County (UWEPC) will host an event in honor of its donors, volunteers and agencies who have contributed to creating lasting change in the lives of El Paso families. The event, which is hosted by KFOX 14 news anchor Erika Castillo, takes place Wednesday, April 6, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
During the celebration an array of awards will be given to local employee groups in recognition of their giving achievements. It also presents awards that reward organizations and individuals whose partnerships, volunteerism and advocacy are exceptional. Many of El Paso’s prominent companies, agencies, institutions and individuals such as El Paso Electric, Western Refining and the University of Texas at El Paso, to name a few, will be acknowledged. This year more than 100 employee groups will be recognized.
Among the most notable award is the Alicia R. Chacon, which recognizes extraordinary commitment by a community partner to make the UWEPC a great success.
