Dear Supporter, 

As you know, we are living in challenging times, and those are accentuated in those who have the least. In a world where one dollar doesn’t stretch as much as it used to, we need your support more than ever.

Fall is here, and traditionally, this is when the Opportunity Center for the Homeless starts seeing an increase in individuals seeking help in our programs. Therefore, in addition to the Men’s and Women’s Resource Centers, we are now operating a Welcome Center, which is also open year-round.

With the shelters open 365 days a year, there is more time and space for our guests to work with our staff to find a permanent housing solution and leave homelessness behind. Homeless individuals under our care also get three meals daily, clothing, access to medical attention, and solution-focused services to minimize their shelter stay. In 2021, our shelters delivered services to over 2,500 unique individuals.  

The work we do is from a foundation of supportive and safe sheltering. Our universally accessible resource centers and long-term housing programs support vulnerable adults to achieve self-sufficiency; or protect them if they cannot do so due to disabilities. Our mission could not have been accomplished without your kindness, and we thank you for your support in helping El Paso’s homeless adults on their path out of homelessness.
