Parents as Teachers is a free, evidence-based home visiting program that helps parents and caregivers boost their children’s health, safety, and ability to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.

OUR MODEL
The Parents as Teachers model has four components: personal visits, group connections, screenings, and a resource network. Together, these form a dynamic package of services for families. PAT serves a range of families with varying needs and offers services to parents with children at any point from the prenatal period through kindergarten.
Parents as Teachers certify professional parent educators to implement the program. Parent Educators work with their families to emphasize parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting, and family well-being.
