Founded in 1970, TRLA is a major legal aid provider serving Texas farmworkers. It offers free legal services to residents in 68 Southwest Texas counties and represents migrant workers in six additional southern states, helping around 23,000 clients annually. However, with over 2.6 million eligible residents, there are nearly 21,000 potential clients for each legal aid lawyer, leaving many low-income Texans without legal representation.
