"I’m so thankful the Parents as Teachers program helped us identify Elise’s needs early."
When Marcy first noticed her daughter Elise was struggling with speech, she wasn’t sure where to turn. A friend encouraged her to connect with United Way’s Parents as Teachers program, and that single step changed everything.
Through the program, Marcy was paired with a caring educator who helped identify Elise’s developmental needs, leading to an early Autism diagnosis and access to early intervention services. Today, Elise is thriving in school, and Marcy credits Parents as Teachers with giving her family the tools, confidence, and support to move forward.
Because of United Way of El Paso County, and supporters like you, this family didn’t face uncertainty alone. They found answers sooner, built resilience, and created a stronger path forward.
