About the Event

The Office of New Americans is currently developing a Countywide Welcoming Strategic Plan as part of the national Gateways for Growth initiative, led by the American Immigration Council and Welcoming America. The goal of this effort is to better understand how immigrant and multilingual residents contribute to our local economy and community, and to identify ways the County can continue strengthening programs, services, and partnerships.

As part of this process, we’re meeting with community partners to learn more about the work already happening across the County, as well as any challenges residents may face when accessing services.

These conversations will help inform the Welcoming Strategic Plan and identify opportunities to strengthen coordination across departments so that all residents — including foreign-born, non-citizen, and multilingual residents — can access services and contribute to the continued growth and success of El Paso County.

As part of this conversation, we also invite partner organizations…
