EL PASO, Texas – The BOOST Network, a collaborative effort between United Way of El Paso County and the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, is launching its 2026 Spring Into Summer campaign to promote high-quality summer programs for children and youth across the region beginning April 20 and continuing throughout the summer months.
The campaign highlights a wide range of summer opportunities offered by BOOST member organizations, out-of-school time (OST) providers serving families across El Paso County, Las Cruces and Ciudad Juárez. These programs provide safe, engaging, and enriching environments for youth during the summer break.
The BOOST Network operates as an afterschool intermediary supported by the Paso del Norte Health Foundation through its Healthy Kids initiative. The initiative focuses on improving health and well-being outcomes for disconnected youth by expanding access to high-quality programming during out-of-school hours.
The Spring Into Summer campaign serves as a one-stop resource for parents and caregivers seeking summer opportunities for their children. At the center of the campaign is an interactive online Summer Programs Guide, which allows families to search for programs based on location, age range, activity type, and other key criteria. The initiative helps families easily identify programs that support learning, enrichment, and healthy development.
Each year, approximately 20,000 youth across the region are reached through summer programming promoted by the campaign.
“For many families, out-of-school time programs are essential to ensuring children and youth stay safe, active, and engaged during the summer months,” said Enrique Garcia Peralta, Healthy Kids Director at the United Way of El Paso County. “Through the BOOST Network, families in the borderland have access to a wide range of opportunities—from sports and outdoor activities to tutoring, mentoring, STEM learning, arts, music, and literacy programs.”
The BOOST Network includes more than 100 youth-serving organizations and OST providers across the border region. Led by United Way of El Paso County and supported by the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, the network works collaboratively to expand access to quality afterschool and summer programming that promotes safe spaces for youth, academic enrichment, and healthy habits.
