(El Paso, TX) – The United Way of El Paso County is thrilled to announce the return of the Flying Horse Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K with the addition of the Giddy Up Fun Run on November 8, 2025, starting at 8:00 am at the Sunland Park Racetrack. Registration is now open to the general public. Sign up today at Flying Horse Registration.

Now in its second year of operation under the United Way of El Paso County, and presented by the City of Sunland Park, the Flying Horse offers four distance options for athletes: a half marathon (13.1 miles), 10k (6.2 miles), 5k (3.1 miles), and the Giddy Up Fun Run (1 mile) that’s perfect for all ages. The event offers team categories and workplace run opportunities, perfect for challenging your friends and other companies.

“The Flying Horse has truly become one of the region’s most anticipated and energizing events, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome it back for 2025,” said Georgina Hernández, President and CEO of United Way of El Paso County. “In 2024, we didn’t just meet our goals—we soared past them, rallying hundreds of participants and raising over $80,000 to support local nonprofits. The momentum is real, and 2025 is set to be even bigger.”

Another new edition to this year’s Flying Horse event is a brand-new look – featuring a clean, modern logo, updated styling, and a signature tagline, #UnitedWeRun. The new brand identity deepens the connection to United Way of El Paso County and increases its significance in their network of annual fundraising events.

All proceeds of the race benefit the United Way of El Paso County, whose mission is to bring people and resources together to tackle our communities’ toughest challenges. Additionally, individuals may register, select a local participating non-profit, and fundraise through Race for a Cause, a peer-to-peer fundraising program through Flying Horse.
